Useful collaboration starts with a clear relationship between what a person decides and what software can do. The interface should make that relationship visible.
A clear division of responsibility
An AI tool can help gather context, organize information and suggest a next step. People need to understand the scope of that help before deciding whether to rely on it. A clear task boundary makes collaboration easier to assess.
Make the work visible
Show the information behind a suggestion, the action being proposed and the questions that remain open. Give people a way to inspect the work without forcing them to reconstruct every step.
Keep decisions reversible
A draft, a preview and an opportunity to revise can make a capable tool easier to use. The point where a suggestion becomes an action should be clear, especially when that action affects other people.
Questions to explore
Where does a person need to intervene? What context helps them decide? A useful prototype makes these questions concrete by focusing on one decision and the information around it.
